The Long Awaited How I Started (Part 3)

I promised that this would be how I learned that I’m a witch and here it is….

It was a gradual realisation. I was adding more and more short courses to my arsenal. Some things that I was drawn to while scrolling through the plethora of courses offered, others came to the fore while meditating.

Witchcraft was was the second. Back then I meditated for at least 15-20 minutes daily, a practice that I sorely miss and really need to get my (diminishing) butt into gear to start again. I had many insights during this time and revelations into past lives. One of these past lives I had been tried as a witch (alongside Saint Jeanne D’Arc no less), she had helped me to escape thus allowing herself to be captured. I remembered the searing heat of the fire as it lapped around her feet. The look of terror and anguish on her face, but also the knowing, that this was her fate, she had saved so many of us from that same end. It is her strength that I lean on in times of ordeal.

After this particular meditation I had an email from the course provider. They had just created a new course pertaining to witchcraft and in particular being a Green Witch. It immediately struck a chord deep within me. I knew that this is what the last 2 years of learning and researching had been for.

Since then I have learned so much more about witchcraft and the different types there are. I’m definitely a Green witch – I am very in tune with nature and love herbs, flowers and wildlife. However, my mediumship came to the fore as well, that is a hedge-witch, as the head is the veil between this world and the next, and of course, I straddle that veil. I’m also solitary. I looked into a Coven for a while, but it just wasn’t me. I’m not one for rules. So my full title is: A Solitary, Green, Hedge-witch.

Next time….. Just HOW many tarot/oracle decks are too many?
